     The Astoria Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of Area business people and individuals interested in keeping Astoria Area prosperous and a great place to live and raise your families. We are working together to improve the economic, civic, and cultural well-being of the area. The Chamber is a service organization designed to help the community prosper and grow. We are always looking for ways to improve the community. 

     We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all our lives better.

     This site will present our organization's cause or ideas to the world. As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try to include photos and images that convey our message. We'll also include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind the pictures.

     Our biggest project thus far was the lighting project in the city park where 16 memorial lights have been placed.  Each spring the beautification committee plants flowers in the flower beds in the park, in the planters along main street and under the signs on each end of the town.  People just passing through the town see how great the town looks. They have given us many compliments. Connecting on a personal level is an important part of sharing ideas.
